I don’t fully understand the point of this song, but it’s amazing.

This album was about the cynicism experienced by post-war Britain. Hey.. fought the good fight against German/Japanese Imperialism.. only to find a post-war government that was hell bent on re-establishing British imperialism (at any cost). I love this album. The most important lyric for me is this.. “and no-one kills the children anymore”. Cities were bombed by both sides in an escalating psychology of “they did it first”. Please let that be the lesson for all time. Never again. Lest we forget.

@forsberg2gagne you guys may be right but i just imagine sometimes what could have been if they took a break & then reformed & made a few more albums with Roger im sure they would have been incredible & timeless.

@OzzyDoop Nah, I disagree. I think everything that Waters wanted to say, was said.

@OzzyDoop i wouldnt say he blew it, gilmour wanted waters gone too. and roger and gilmour both put out some great solo stuff. I do wish they stayed together and made more albums like animals and meddle. But i cant wait to see waters do the wall live this year. its gonna be insane

It is good to see that some people are listening and hearing the words of wisdom in the epic works of to me master pieces they arranged. I wish more exposure was possible from new works but some are no longer with us and a time of history has past and we will be the worst for the loss.

Whoever thought it was possible to make a genuine piece of art with Mrs. Thatcher in it? Roger Waters did! I’m in awe, I can tell you.

Sorry mate, most of the people there would rather remain british or commenwealth, than argentinian so it’s not exactly freeing them.

my god in 1983 i was in grade 11 in high school and this brings back AMAZING memories of my pink floyd loving buddies!

The penguins & sheep want to remain British, so NO! you can’t have them back, sorry.

I was gutted only cos I didn’t see them play as a 4 piece, tho’ was in Hyde Pk in 2005 for the reunion. But, at least we got 2 sets of different brilliant albums & tours. I got to see Roger, Dave & Dave’s Floyd versions live, so turned out ok really. Roger (& John Lennon) are the best lyricists ever!
