Pink Floyd (Pulse) – On The Run (crashing plane)

A part of the concert PULSE (by Pnik Floyd). One of the songs that stood out was “On the Run” simply by having a 30 foot model plane fly over the crowd and crash and burst into flames. See what I mean about special effects? Do watch it and let your pulse rate go high!

How did they do that Plane thing? I was thinking like a hologram or something, but then as the Description “Model plane crashing and bursting into flames” I thought of an actual real Plane flying past (not a real one, just not computer generated).

Im just kidding around where at times it feels like some of Pink Floyds music sounds like it was based on doing acid (hence the video you just watched above).

That’s the best thing. All the Jonas Brothers songs sound the same. And the fans are annoying too. A friend of mine (who is a fan) actually complained to me after I said they sucked.

I wouldn’t agree, seeing as LSD scares me, but I can sort of see where you are coming from. I’m not going to criticise you, I’m just saying.

  8. DemonVicTheAnimeGuy Says:

But to get the most out of a Pink Floyd concert you have to listen and watch it while your on acid. That way you are inside the show, not just watching it.

  9. DemonVicTheAnimeGuy Says:

Also Pink Floyd didn’t change their music, they basically said if you dont like our music the way it is we will take it else where. Its truly a shame the band is no longer together.

Haha, the amount of thumbdowns this simple, innocent comment has had!

  14. hotelmario510 Says:

It was Rick, bringing it up. He suggested ‘oh we might die’, and Rog was like ‘Ohgodohgodohgod!’ David Gilmour was experimenting one day, and he took that idea, made a different tune, and had it so that it was lightning fast to represent the frenzied motion of travel.

  15. hotelmario510 Says:

This is why the Jonas Brothers suck. Because they’re like ‘LOOK AT US. WE’RE SO HOT AND PERFECT!’ Pink Floyd, on the other hand, didn’t want people to focus on them. They wanted people to focus on the show. Great performance. Good show, good show.

Suprisingly simple….. to actually play…. but alot of skill involved…

The playing isnt dificalt its the controlling of the effects thats the hard bit….. nudge the wrong knob you end up with a squeeky mess ;)

I figured this to be a real hard piece to play live and for it to be convincing, but its executed so well!

Do me a favor. NEVER listen to this song stoned or you will regret it for the rest of your life.

haha my dads friend was in acid when he saw this…he thought the guy was flying around the stadium XD

They were ahead of their time – both in musical effects and visual effects. Took a lot of time and money

  21. rdaws73 Says:

True, but the concert tour was called. “The Division Bell Tour.”

  22. RaggedTiger70 Says:

When it was on Pay-Per-View it was “DSOTM live from London”, then it was completely re-editied and released as the Pulse VHS tape, then completely re-edited again for the Pulse DVD.

I saw this show at the Capital Center in DC. I was also tripping on acid. I was seated up in the back section and that plane flew about 15 ft up directly over my head and decended down to the stage and crashed. The explosion was so huge that I could feel the heat instantly. My first thought was that I would be the last person out of the arena during evacuation and I was surely going to burn to death before I made it out!! Greatest show I ever witnessed.

People are calling it “PULSE” but I saw it on TV under the name “Pink Floyd Performs ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ Live at Earls Court”
