@unstableian Good music is still being made, it just doesn’t get to us that easily anymore. Muse is one of the examples to show that there is still hope for music.

  2. n444445 Says:

@unstableian That’s not to say there’s no good music these days, it’s just that it’s usually buried under a tsunami of crap, the imagery there being very much intentional.

  3. bigmetalbeatsmith Says:

  4. smegweevil Says:

Staggering. The music and the lyrics are consciousness-altering. So deep and wide. I hesitate to use the word “genius” but what these guys created is incredible.

  5. myone2008 Says:

just remember there is no real dark side on the moon, as a matter of fact is all dark.

pink floyd is one of the grates bands ever made, thank god for the chance to hear their melodies, i didn’t even pay attention to them until resently that a stoner friend of mine use to play them while we were tripping balls on weed.
it takes you dipper then hell and beyond.

This allows our children’s minds to be influenced in ways only the greed ridden speak of. That may explain some of why our country’s IQ is around 98 worldwide.

We are powerless against the tidal waves that fill the air.
We are NOT powerless against what we choose to fill our ears with.
If what you hear offends you, Change the channel. There are more genres and artists to choose from than ever before. Find one or two that suit you or at least tune out those that don’t. Why waste energy being negative? Just a thought. Sorry.

  18. PandaVampires Says:

  19. MetalSpiral Says:

@unstableian Commercialism has ruined much more than music, friend.

But, as Pink Floyd sings, everything under the sun is in tune…

  20. shakezoolap Says:

If an alien race were to invade our planet and demand us to show them a “Relic” of our kind, to deem us worthy of being sparred.

I would give them this album.

    @jdstoick1 Actually, they are timeless.

  24. unstableian Says:

@Wallystick : I would say 90%. Mainly rap and pop music. Being a musician gives me a different perspective i guess.

  25. unstableian Says:

@LemonLimeLaughter : I wouldn’t call corporate monopolization of the global music industry capitalism ;-) A true free market wouldn’t allow for it. It’s closer to corporate facism IMHO.
