The show I saw, they had extra dialogue during the Helicopter Execution part. The pilots say something like “we need to find someone to kill” and then, after they execute the journalists, a banner appears on the right side of the screen saying “Namir Noor-Eideen, 22, + Saeed Chmagh, 40, You Will Be Remembered” ……And then Roger Waters Pulls out a machine gun and blasts it off the screen, and fires it randomly into different parts of the crowd.

@MetallicDeviant Well now that I’m not tired, I can hear it right at the start but that’s about it. It still feels different though. There are a few videos of this from Vancouver, you should check them out. Feels so weird seeing everyone else stand still during the guitar segments, especially Roger himself.

@SirBastille I was at that show, everyone was fucking into it! Some people say that ruins the show, I say that it was a fucking party!

Im pathetic, Im weak, paranoid, and I worry about things. Thumbs up if you are too.

Man, what’s with the dead crowd? Last night at Vancouver, the stadium was clapping to the beat. Even Roger Waters was getting into it, helping with the timing after the first set of it.

One of the best guitar riffs. Simple but brilliant. Great footage btw.

@rjhannigan You can in fact see at least one AK47 on the ground in the video. While the journalists were there, they weren’t all journalists. Do be fair you can also see one of the guys crouching behind a wall and peaking around it at the helicopter. I’m not saying what they did was right by any means but the video shows more than whats been seen here.

@atomicLunatic Thanks for the info. I didn’t mean to put down the guitar player. Gilmour is a tough act to follow.

long live real music like this!

The political commentary in this is incredible! I remember seeing that ak47 video before the wikileaks began (oh yeah, this show was before the wikileaks, so I guess it was pretty public!!). Amazing. So sad I didn’t know about the Tacoma show until just today! Wish I had a couple extra hundred bucks laying around so I could go!

@fastfoodclowns During reocording sessions of the wall album, Bob Ezrin told Gilmour to go out to a disco and try to catch the vibe of what was sounding in those days. Gilmour said he hated the experience, but young lust, this one and even the guitar solo of another brick of the wall part two to a lesser extent reflect what came out of Ezrin suggestion.

Just saw him in Denver…..wow! Screw the nay-sayers, the singing was excellent, the guitarist rocked the house, and no one was disappointed! The show of a lifetime, thank you Mr. Waters!!!!
